How to Set Deadlines and Requirements in Your Campaigns
The clearer your requirements, the more likely you are to get the exact UGC you need – in the right style, quality, and tone.
WebContent makes it easy to define your expectations when setting up a campaign. Here’s what to consider.
1. Requirements start in your description and brief
Your description and brief are your main communication with creators before feedback.
Clearly address:
What should be shown? (product, features, setting)
What should be said? (key messages, tone, CTA)
How should it be filmed? (angle, format, style)
What should be avoided? (words, brands, visual elements)
You can write the brief yourself or use the AI Script Maker (available on the Scale plan) to structure it quickly and clearly.
2. Make your requirements realistic
Too much info overwhelms. Too little leaves room for guessing.
A good brief focuses on:
2–4 key messages or visual guidelines
Visual style (selfie, lifestyle, packshot, etc.)
Tone of voice – natural, enthusiastic, informative?
Avoid long checklists – focus on what matters most.
3. Include your deadline in the brief
There’s no separate deadline field during campaign setup, so if you have a specific delivery date, add it in the description or brief.
Examples:
“Content needed by September 20”
“Please upload within 5 days after being approved”
A clear deadline helps creators plan and increases the chance of on-time delivery.
4. Need adjustments? Use the feedback phase
Once the video is submitted, the feedback phase begins. Here you can:
Give constructive comments
Request minor edits
Clarify any missing requirements
Summary: Clear requirements = better content
The sharper your brief, the easier it is for creators to deliver something you’re happy with – and the fewer revisions you’ll need.
